“I’d like to see Paris before I die… Philadelphia will do.”
― W. C. Fields
Philadelphia is a great city with many exciting things happening there. My dad and I spent a half day in downtown Philly right before Nationals started. The historic sights like Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell were interesting to see because I had heard and read a lot about them. The University of Pennsylvania is a college that I am very interested in attending so touring the campus was the highlight of the day. While walking around the campus, I got to see the famous Wharton business school and some amazing sculptures and art, particularly a bronze sculpture of Benjamin Franklin. I even got to see where my parents first met on the UPenn campus while they were attending Wharton. After touring the campus, I ate at a modern restaurant near campus. It was a great sight seeing experience in Philly. It was also mentally relaxing to not think about climbing for a few hours.
